Western Canadian Agribition

Fusilier Sheep Co. attended the Western Canadian Agribition this year in Regina, Saskatchewan with a pair of yearling Bluefaced Leicester ewes to show in the Saskatchewan Sheep Breeders' Association Show. When talking with attendees and representatives, this is the first time the breed has been shown at Agribition.

They are very pleased to report that even though many there were not familiar with the breed, they had a very excellent show with the first time in the ring.

In the yearling ewe class, Fusilier K11E Emily came first, and Fusilier K23E Emerson came in second. Fusilier K11E Emily went on to be Reserve Champion Ewe - Any Other Breed at the show.

Shown as a pen of two yearling ewes Fusilier K11E Emily and K23E Emerson came in first in class, but lost out to two pens of three Hampshires in the Grand Champion Pen of ewes.

K23E Emerson also came in second with our groom Faith Stevens in the Jr. Showmanship Class.
