Tullamore Show 2017
Bluefaced Leicesters were in high attendance at this year's Tullamore Show held on Sunday 13th August 2017. Judge for the day was Dominic McCrystal from the Drummock flock near Maghera, Co. Derry. Commenting afterwards, Dominic remarked that the two best classes in the show were the ram lambs and ewe lambs with large entries in both. It was not surprising that he found his champion in a ram lamb exhibited by John Morahan's Woodview flock in Mayo and the reserve champion in a ewe lamb exhibited by Kieran & Patrick McGrath's Caoramor flock in Donegal.
The champion was bred by a home bred sire of John's J001 Woodview which was last year's champion at Tullamore Show, and by a homebred ewe by an Orravale tup. The reserve champion was by Low Tipalt H007, and out of a homebred Caoramor ewe by Blairmount D007.

This year saw a Mule ewe hogg and ewe lamb class in the show, and again John Morahan came up with the goods taking first place in both classes.
