Armoy had an increased entry this year of 172 head.  With some very strong classes forward for Judge Mr James Wilson, Deerfin.

After careful consideration James found his overall champion in the ram lamb pen of Michelle Wright, Mullaghwee with a sharp home bred lamb 3560/T017  that caught the judges eye as soon as he entered the ring.  Sired by Temain 4342/S014 and out of a Holmview dam 1337/N073 with blood lines going back to Beeches Wingman and Allanfauld Dazzler, Christopher Butler took him home to join the Glenmakeeran flock paying 1220gns.

Reserve overall champion was awarded to the first prize shearling ram from Eoin Loughran, Hilltop Farm this was for his home bred ram 3951/S014 sired by Carry House 281/N056 out of a Mistyburn ewe 4691/M027 this one was cashed for 1000gns selling to James Harkin, J & S Flock.

Top price on the day was paid for the number one ram lamb from Ryan Loughran, Loughbracken Hill, this stylish lamb 4755/T001 was sired by Mullaghwee 3560/P001 out of a Ballyportery mother 4945/R013 Alex Butler was the successful bidder on this occasion taking the lamb home to join his Rowan Tree flock for 2200gns.

Top price Shearling ram was a home bred substitute lot from Michelle Wright, Mullaghwee 3560/S018 sired by Tievebuaile Farm 3920/R001 out of a homebred ewe 3560/P035 he was cashed for 1210gns and found a new home with McCormick Farming Partnership, Ballycastle.

Female champion was awarded to Ian Montgomery, Mistyburn with his home bred ewe lamb 4691/T044 sired by Carry House Ronaldo 281/P001 and out of a Mistyburn dam 4691/P026 she was cashed for 300 gns.
