Ballinrobe Second Sale 2025

The second Bluefaced Leicester sale in Ballinrobe took place on Friday, October 3rd, and despite the arrival of Storm Amy, there was a strong trade throughout with a great atmosphere ringside. While the weather kept a few buyers and sellers at home, all sheep that made it to the mart found new homes, with most lots selling between €500 and €700 — and an average of €650 on the day.

The Sale Champion was awarded to Tom Staunton, Maskview, with a flashy, hard-coloured lamb showing great character and style. Sired by the €10,000 Drummuck Chief, this eye-catching lamb went on to sell for €850, drawing plenty of well-deserved attention.

The Reserve Champion came from Tommie and Shauna Fitzmaurice, with a smart lamb by T2 Mullaghwee, which went under the hammer for €750.

Taking top honours in the shearling and aged ram section was Michael Oliver, whose powerful three-year-old Caoramor tup sold for €1,180, the top price of the day.
