Lanark Ram & Female Sale

The 29th Annual Show and Sale of Bluefaced Leicesters was held by Lawrie & Symington Ltd within Lanark Auction Mart on the 9th October. Judge at the pre sale show was Mrs Kate Smith from the Low Arkland Flock, Castle Douglas. Overall Champion was Lot 11, a shearling ram from Hazel Brown, Leadburnlea Flock. This shearling was sired by the home bred stock ram Leadburnlea C1 and went on to sell for £600.

A top price of £720 was achieved twice by shearling rams, firstly from J Warnock & Son, Coultermuir and then by R Struthers, Glenelg Greenfields.
