Armoy sale had a reduced entry this year of 155 compared to the 265 the previous year, this helped to improve the clearance rate and increase the averages.
Judge Mr Jake Hamilton, Skeagh was the man in the middle for the Judging duties and he found his champion in the ram lamb pen from Ian Montgomery, Mistyburn with a homebred tup lamb 4691/S017 this sharp lamb was sired by Beeches Wingman out of a homebred ewe 4691/P022 sired by Yore House Maverick he was cashed at 920gns. Reserve overall champion was the first prize shearling ram from Jimmy Mills, Ballytober this was a homebred ram 4469/R004 sired by Blarnavaid 4244/N004 out of a Midlock ewe 1538/J135 he was knocked down for 950gns.
Top price on the day was for 3634/R038 from Alistair Christie, The Fields for a homebred shearling ram sired by Whiteside 4084/D003 out of a homebred ewe 3634/P055 he was knocked down at 1080gns
Top price ram lamb again came from the pen of Ian Montgomery, Mistyburn this was another homebred lamb 4691/S020 this one sired by Carry House 281/N056 out of a homebred ewe 4691/P027 sired by Midlock Iceman 1538/N003
