This is the 9th year the Association sale has been held at the Tavistock Centre. This year with a catalogued entry of 34 sheep, this is a small, but important sale in the Association calendar.

Judge this year was Mr Dick Montague from the Ashdown flock. He found his champion in the shearling pen of Peter Heard, Yelland with the first sheep listed on the catalogue. This was a home bred shearling 3980/L017 sired by Midlock 1538/K053 and out of a home bred ewe 3980/D015. He was cashed for the top price of the day 700 guineas to join the Danesbrook flock of Layland Branfield.

The second highest price was for another shearling ram, this time from C Pearse & Son from the Barramoor flock selling their homebred ram 4911/L001 for 500 guineas. He is sired by Pew Tor 4608/H025 and out of a Pew Tor Ewe 4608/G007.

The reserve champion was awarded to the first prize ram lamb from David Ridge, Lakehead and he was sired by Daisy 4395/G001 and out of a homebred ewe 4479/J028.
