Penrith Ram & Female Sale

Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their annual sale of Bluefaced Leicesters on behalf of the Bluefaced Leicester Sheep Breeders’ Association when some renowned local breeders presented stock for sale to a good crowd of people.

Topping the sale was £3400 for Lot No 8 the Champion on the day a shearling by the B4 Hundith a colourful powerful tup from Messrs Lord, Hewgill which was purchased by Mr M H Brennand, Park House.

Messrs Lord topped the tup lamb section with lot no 22 a ram lamb by G49 Hewgill, and this very colourful lamb went to Mr J O’Kane, N Ireland.
Trade was similar to that seen at sales across the county.
